Founded in 2022, Agave Resources Australia is a specialist agave company building the foundations of an Australian feedstock industry. Agave is our core focus, with a dedicated business spanning plant supply, agricultural production, whole-crop research and commercial market development.

ARA pioneered agave research work tracking product yield data through ethanol to Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), connecting the crop’s potential with the requirements of a future fuel supply chain. That work underpins our approach: investigate the whole plant, understand its value and build the systems needed to deliver it commercially.

Through the AgaveLab™ research strategy and our AgaveLink™ grower program, we connect scientific evidence with practical agriculture. Our goal is large-volume Australian agave production serving multiple markets, bringing a water-efficient, climate-resilient crop into the development of low-carbon fuels and the wider bioeconomy.

Agave Resources is led by Jennifer Wainwright, Founder and Managing Director, working at the intersection of agriculture, sustainability and renewable-energy feedstocks. An agave grower and aggregator, Jennifer brings first-hand knowledge of the crop to building scalable, ESG-aligned supply chains for biofuels and advanced bioproduct markets. Jennifer’s approach brings growers, researchers and supply chain stakeholders together to align Australian production with emerging Asia-Pacific markets. Her commitment is to build an industry grounded in evidence, commercially viable for growers and capable of creating lasting opportunity for regional and rural Australia.
